Naughty chocolate cake

A while ago i was obsessed with the GU brand and their wonderful dessert  until started eating healthy and had to stop this sweet relationship.  Last week when i went shopping a book shop had a massive sale and i got a hold of  the ” GU chocolate cookbook ” and made this recipe inspired from this book . The reason why i called this recipe naughty is that it is so good . Everybody that came to my house had to grab a piece and i will be definitely bake another one real soon.

Naughty chocolate cakeIngredients:

Serves 8:

*75 grs of 70% dark chocolate

*50 grs of 50% dark chocolate

*125 grs of butter

*150 grs of brown sugar

*3 eggs


1.Preheat the oven to 170 degrees Celsius.

2.In a heatproof bowl over a pot of hot water, using the ” BAIN MARIE ” technique , melt the chocolate with the butter.

3. In a saucepan add the brown sugar with 2 tbsp of water and heat to obtain a syrup that you will add to the chocolate mixture .

4.Separate the eggs and mix the egg yolks with the melted chocolate  then remove from the heat .

5. With a hand mixer whisk the egg white with a pinch of salt until it forms a small peak .

6.With a wooden spoon carefully fold in the egg white to the chocolate and place into a greased  spring-form cake tin.

7.Bake for 35-40 minutes and chill on a wire rack.

This cake is best served at room temperature with a spoon of cream .
