Easy apricot tart

This is a recipe that i often cook when i have a few over ripe fruits in the kitchen. It  only requires a few ingredients and the preparation time is minimum . Perfect for an afternoon tea  or as a dessert served with a spoon of creme anglaise . Apricots can be replaced by fruits such as plums , peaches , nectarines …..

Easy apricot tartIngredients:

*12 apricots

*1 ready to roll puff pastry

*1/3 cup of grounds almonds

*4 tbsp of brown sugar

*1 egg

*flaked almonds

*1/3 cup of apple jelly , apricot jam or even marmalade .



1.Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius.

2.Roll out the pastry on a baking tray lined with greaseproof paper. Create a border by rolling the edges a centimeter thick and press with your fingers.

3.Evenly sprinkle the ground almonds on the pastry while keeping the borders clean

4.Cut the apricots in half, remove the seeds and place the fruit on the ground almonds.

5.Sprinkle the sugar on the apricots. sprinkle a handful of flaked almonds on the tart.

6.Break the egg in a cup , mix and brush it on the edges of the pastry then place in the oven for 20 minutes.

7.Once cooked remove from the oven . Place the jelly with a spoon of water in a microwave .Stir well.

8.With a brush , glaze the entire tart with the hot jelly , then wait 10 minutes before serving.
