Cherry clafoutis

Cherry clafoutis is s part of many person childhood memory . I remember climbing in trees picking cherries and coming home with red stained t shirt that didn’t make my mum too happy . I know that cherries aren’t available in every country but other fruits such as apricots or plums can be used .

Cherry clafoutis


* 500 grs of pitted cherries
*40 grs of butter
*4 eggs
*200 ml of milk
*100 grs of flour
*50 grs of sugar
*a pinch of salt

1.Preheat the oven at 210 degrees Celsius.
2.Clean the cherries , remove the stones if not pitted. Place the cherries in a greased baking dish.
3.Melt the butter.
4. In a mixing bowl , add the dry ingredients, whisk and add one by one the eggs.
5.Add the milk and the melted butter whisk and pour the mixture over the cherries.
6.Bake in the oven 10 minutes at 210 degrees Celsius and then reduce the heat to 180 degrees Celsius for an additional 20 minutes.
7.Eat cold
