This is a recipe that i wanted to try for a long time but never had the opportunity to cook it . last time i finally bought some hay and made this recipe , the result was a nice moist pork that we enjoyed with boiled potato and a cold beer .
*1 x1 kg pork shank
*100 grs of clean eating hay ( not bedding hay)
*1 garlic head
*1 pint of water
1.Preheat the oven at 180 degrees celsius.
2.In an oven baking dish with a lid such as pyrex or a cast iron one , place the hay in the bottom with the water .
3.Place the meat and the halved garlic , cover and place in the oven for 3 hours .
4.After 3 hours , switch off the oven but keep it close for another 2 hours .
5.Once you’ve waited the 2 really long hours, you can finally enjoy the pork shank .
